Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using ShopTechConnect ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Platform. We're ShopTechConnect, a Florida business at 20243 NE 15th CT, Miami FL 33179, reachable at info@shoptechconnect.com.

2. Who can use ShopTechConnect

You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of any business or individual you list. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • List a shop, technician, operator, or company you don't represent.
  • Submit false reviews or impersonate other users.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish data from the Platform in bulk without our written permission. Search-engine indexing is fine.
  • Use the messaging or contact-request system to send spam, phishing, harassment, or unrelated commercial pitches.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, or disrupt the security of the Platform.
  • Use ShopTechConnect for anything illegal or to facilitate illegal activity.

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.

4. Your content

You own the content you submit (profile info, photos, reviews, messages). By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and reformat it as needed to operate the Platform — show it on your profile, deliver it to recipients you message, surface it in search, etc. You're responsible for having the rights to anything you upload (e.g. photos you didn't take but use with permission).

5. Reviews

Reviews must reflect honest first-hand experience. We may remove reviews that appear fraudulent, defamatory, or violate these Terms.

6. Unclaimed listings

ShopTechConnect publishes shop profiles drawn from publicly available service-network directories. If a listing is yours and you want to claim it, edit it, or have it removed, use the "Claim this listing" or "Listing wrong? Request removal or correction" link on the listing page. We review takedown and correction requests within 24 hours. Unclaimed listings show only basic facts (name, location, brand affiliations) and don't carry reviews or contact channels.

7. Service requests, jobs, and connections

ShopTechConnect is a directory and connection platform — we don't ourselves provide repair, operator, or production services, nor do we vet, employ, or sponsor any user. Any transaction or relationship that originates here is between you and the other party. We're not a party to it and aren't responsible for the quality of work, payment terms, or disputes between users.

8. Subscriptions and payments

Some features (e.g. ShopTechConnect Pro) require a paid subscription. We charge through Stripe; the active price and billing cycle are shown at checkout. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard — cancellation stops future billing and applies at the end of your current paid period. Refunds are at our discretion except where required by law.

9. Intellectual property

The ShopTechConnect name, logo, design, and software are our property. We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use them within the Platform as intended. Don't clone, mirror, or copy the Platform.

10. Termination

You can delete your account anytime from your dashboard or by emailing us. We can suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. On termination, your public profile is taken down within a reasonable window; messages and reviews you sent or received may persist on the recipients' profiles or in our retention archive subject to the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific outcome (e.g. finding a technician, getting hired) will result from using it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Platform is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100). We're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShopTechConnect from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Terms or the Platform will be resolved exclusively in state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged in your dashboard or via email. Continued use after the "Last updated" date counts as acceptance of the new Terms.
